CAMBRIDGE

Cambridge is one of the most unique and distinguished of Boston's neighbors. Harvard, the oldest college in the nation, was located here by the Massachusetts legislature more than a century before anyone considered that the American colonies would ultimately gain independence from England. Cambridge is home to several other institutions of higher learning, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lesley College, and several divinity and music schools. Education isn't the only activity in Cambridge, as its theater, music, hotels, high tech businesses, snappy retail stores, politics, and restaurants appeal to all tastes and budgets.
