Kendall Square
Just across the Charles River offers
one of the best panoramic views of Boston. Kendall Square is
the prestigious address for Massachusetts' high tech industry.Where
else can a hard-working scientist keep tabs on the latest research
action at nearby MIT, and also still be close to downtown Boston,
which is just across the river? This is a good place to stroll
along the Cambridge side of the Charles River.
This is another area which has undergone many changes in look
and character because of office and hotel construction. The square
itself is a hotbed of activity, a major 4 star hotel complex,
plenty of specialty shops and restaurants, notably Legal Seafoods
and the popular MIT Bookstore. The Harvard Coop also has a branch
here if you are in dire need of chinos. If you happen to find
yourself in Kendall Square, you're just around the corner from
the Cambridgeside Galleria , a state of the art shopping complex.
The square is a hop skip and jump to other attraction.
